| Hotel Room Biased Towards Right-Handed People! | | I have mentioned before that I am ambidextrous and, during our recent trip to London, it was a good job that I do possess this "gift."[em]rolleyes[/em]We stayed at a Premier Inn, this particular hotel was in Brentford. Premier Inns are a chain of hotels dotted all over the UK (and abroad too) so most people will have experienced one at some time or other.However, I'm not too sure if every Premier Inn has an electric kettle geared towards right-handed use ONLY! The particular kettle in our Premier Inn was on a shelf sticking out from a wardrobe. The base was actually stuck to the shelf with the kettle facing me. Now, in order to reach the handle at the back I had to lean my right arm over and could only just do this as the wardrobe was in the way! Then it got me thinking; what if I wasn't ambidextrous (able to use both hands) as there was no way I could do the same with my left arm due to the positioning of the kettle.How frustrating that must be if - say, a couple were both left-handed! Due to the "housing" of this kettle no way could I reach the handle with my left hand, absolutely impossible in fact!Has anything like this ever happened to any other left-handers... | |

| | left & right handed persons- who is better? | | What do you feel or think? who is better - a right handed or a left handed person - I do not have any opinion on this and I am asking you all out there, b'cos recently in my group of friends this topic came up - some felt that left handed people were more intelligent-some said they had more memory, or were more loving & caring etc etc- then I said if that is so does it mean that there are some people who are ambi-dextrous are the best compared to the two groups? He told me that the right hand is used to hold the stick to strike the ball, while the left hand is used to ride the pony.
